At Maplebrook, we have a dedicated activities team on hand to deliver daily, meaningful activities for our service users. Due to the complexity of care needs and challenging behaviours, activities can be delivered in group sessions or on a one-to-one basis. Activities include but are not limited to bingo, crafts, singing and dancing. We also use different types of calming therapies such as doll therapy to support our service users and ease any feelings of distress or anxiety.
We have excellent relationships within our local community and arrange regular outings for our residents who are able to support their independence and connections. Outings include shopping and swimming.
We work with residents to ascertain which outings or activities they would like to do.
Every service user is assessed prior to admission and their own person-centered care plan created to ensure their needs are met.
