‘Tis the season of joy and warmth, and at Maplebrook Care Home, our halls are adorned with the spirit of Christmas, thanks to the generosity of Robin Richley and Jaqui York. Their thoughtful donation of Christmas trees has transformed our home into a festive haven, welcoming all who enter.
In the true spirit of the season, our residents gathered for heartwarming Christmas crafting sessions. Together, they created exquisite decorations, including baubles that now grace our donated trees. Each bauble tells a story, showcasing cherished family memories that light up the room with love and nostalgia.
On the 6th of December, Maplebrook came alive with the spirit of elves as residents and staff donned vibrant red and green attire for Elf Day. This lively activity wasn’t just about spreading festive cheer; it was a heartfelt gesture in support of Alzheimer’s disease, reminding us all of the importance of community and compassion.
The following day, we embraced the cozy charm of Christmas Jumper Day. Laughter and festive melodies filled the air as everyone sported their most festive sweaters. The joy of the season resonated through the home, accompanied by the infectious spirit of togetherness.
Amidst the festivities, Friday mornings have become a delightful oasis of pampering for our residents. Hair and nails adorned with care, our residents bask in the luxury of self-care, making each Friday a special day to look forward to.
As the sun sets, Maplebrook transforms into a cinematic wonderland with our Christmas movie nights. Residents gather, sharing the warmth of the season while enjoying timeless classics that bring smiles and laughter.
Adding a touch of friendly competition, our residents enjoyed a spirited Christmas Quiz. Everyone engaged with sharing their Christmas knowledge. It’s a testament to the vibrant community we’re creating here at Maplebrook – one filled with camaraderie and shared joy.
