Friday 21at April marks a huge milestone for Maplebrook Care Home as our first resident has moved in.
Following months of meticulous refurbishment, planning, recruitment, and team training the CQC attended the home to complete the pre-registration checks to allow Maplebrook Care Home to start accepting residents. Following the successful registration Maplebrook Care Home – Care Quality Commission (cqc.org.uk) Maplebrook Care home is now officially open.
The home will care for adults with complex physical and mental health needs including but not limited to brain injuries, strokes, complex dementia, Motor Neurone Disease, spinal injuries, Parkinson’s Huntington’s, and end of life care.
Our specialist health care teams and nurses are trained to care for those with tracheostomies, PEG feeding and other complex respiratory needs.
The team is made up of management, nurses, senior healthcare assistants and healthcare assistants, the activities team, on site maintenance and in-home chefs.
The home’s Operations Director and Managing Director presented the team with a lovely hamper for a thank you for their commitment to quality and standards ahead of opening.
The Home Manager said, “the team have worked so hard to ensure every little detail has been considered, from the technology infrastructure to the cutlery and utensils, filling the activities room and considered choices for the sensory room. We are now looing forward to working with our local hospitals and social workers in Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas to offer a home for those who need us”
